This module is a 4.5-day training class. Classes are held throughout the year, on average of 3-4 times per quarter, but typically close out 60-90 days in advance.

The XRC Advanced Programming Module is an advanced course for the XRC controller and programming of the Motoman SVX-, SKX-, UP- series industrial robots. Students are required to possess basic programming knowledge of the controller prior to attending this training module. Either XRC Basic Programming or MRC-to-XRC Upgrade Modules are prerequisites to the XRC Advanced Programming Module.

Students learn to perform advanced functions with the XRC controller and SVX-, SKX, and UP-series robots.

Course Overview

Classroom lectures on programming commands are reinforced with demonstrations. Commands and topics are related to real-world examples and applications. Material covered in lectures is enhanced with actual hands-on programming by students in Motoman's 13,400-sq.ft. training facility. Students perform workshop exercises which emphasize topics covered in class lectures. Class size is kept small, typically 6 or fewer, to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere. This allows students to work closely with Motoman instructors to grasp the concepts of robot programming.

Course Materials

Students receive the XRC Advanced Training Manual, as well as handouts that relate to specific topics covered in class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions, and to bring up specific programming issues.


XRC Basic Programming


Training class schedules are subject to be changed without notice, based on training demands. All Training classes are held in the Miamisburg, OH Training Facility unless other prior arrangements have been confirmed.
