NX100 Controller

Request InfoThe revolutionary NX100 controller features a Windows® CE programming pendant with color touch screen, high-speed processing, unmatched memory (60,000 steps, 10,000 instructions), built-in Ethernet, and a robust PC architecture. The NX100 features four levels of password protection for up to 100 individual users.

The NX100 easily handles multiple tasks, with unmatched ability to control up to four robots (up to 36 axes, including robots and external axes), and I/O devices. Advanced Robot Motion (ARM) control provides high-performance path accuracy and vibration control. In addition, the NX100 features best-in-class path planning that dramatically reduces teaching time.

The programming pendant features a unique cross-shaped navigation cursor that reduces teaching time by 30 percent. It has full-color touch-screen display and a convenient Compact Flash slot for easy memory back-ups. Most operator controls are located on the pendant, allowing the control cabinet to be mounted remotely. An optional on-line troubleshooting guide for expert system maintenance is also available on the pendant.

NXC100 Controller

The new NXC100 Controller is one of the smallest controllers in its class. Small, compact, and lightweight, it can be mounted under conveyors, in control cabinets, or in other small places. The NXC100 controls the robot axes and can also control one external axis. It is ideal for robotic applications such as small part handling, assembly and packaging. The NXC100 controller features the same amount of memory (60,000 steps, 10,000 instructions), and uses the same Windows® CE programming pendant as the standard NX100 controller. It also features four levels of password security for up to 100 users and offers the same unmatched connectivity.

Features & Options

  • Compact design minimizes footprint
  • INFORM III programming language (same as NX100)
  • Windows® CE operating system on programming pendant
  • Standard Ethernet communication
  • Compliant with ANSI/RIA R15.06-1999 safety standard
  • Unmatched memory: 60,000 steps, 10,000 instructions
  • On-board graphical ladder editor

XRC Controller

XRC Pendant

The XRC 2001 controller features factory-proven, advanced 32-bit RISC distributed architecture and digital servo drives. The RISC processor delivers higher performance than Pentium-based controllers.

The XRC 2001’s safety circuitry features dual hardware architecture to meet the “control reliable” safety performance requirements of the ANSI/RIA 15.06-1999 standard.

An award-winning, lightweight, ergonomically designed programming pendant with a three-position safety switch simplifies programming. The pendant supports Windows®-like menus on a graphical 5.7-inch LED user interface with cross cursor keys. An RS-232C interface is provided for FC1/FC2/FDE communication.

Motoman’s industry-leading INFORM II language is icon-driven and easy-to-use. Application-specific software include a powerful instructions set that simplifies programming.

The XRC 2001 features a patented method for programming and control of multiple robots (U.S. patent 5,889,924). It offers unmatched capability for control of up to four robots. The XRC 2001 features built-in collision avoidance, including a definition of the entire robot and its end-of-arm tool. Multiple robot control also minimizes cost and facilitates “jigless” processing – one robot conveys and positions parts for processing by up to three additional robots, all controlled by one XRC 2001 – providing the ultimate form of flexible automation. Motoman’s XRC 2001 robot controller, offers flexibility, high performance, open communication, and award-winning ergonomic design.

Features & Options

  • 32-bit RISC architecture and digital servo drives
  • Patented multiple robot synchronous control
  • Compliant with R15.06-1999 ANSI/RIA standard
  • Manual brake release switch
  • INFORM II language with icon-driven interface
  • UL- and CSA-listed fusible disconnect switch, circuit breakers, circuit protectors, servo power conductors, and line filters

JRC Controller

JRC Pendant

The JRC 2001 controller is one of the smallest controllers in its class. Its compact, but sturdy construction minimizes footprint and allows for easy mounting under conveyors, in control cabinets, or in other small places. It is lightweight and easy to install.

This controller is ideal for robotic applications such as small part handling, assembly, semiconductor, wafer transfer, assembling liquid crystal displays, disk handling, and packaging small items such as cell phones.

Two lightweight, easy-to use programming pendants are available – a compact version for simple programming operations, and an enhanced version with a 6.5-inch color touch screen, designed to simplify complex programming through Windows®-like, interactive operation. Both pendants include an improved three-position safety switch.

JRC ControllerThe JRC 2001 programming language is full-featured and easy-to-use. It also allows programs to be created and maintained off-line on a PC. With PC-based programming, the user can calculate cycle times and observe robot motion in a simulated workcell without physically operating the robot. Programming is further simplified by optional libraries of subroutines which allow programmers to quickly access frequently used programs.

JRC 2001 options include Ethernet, DeviceNet (master and slave), floppy disk drive, vision sensor interface, and external axis control of up to two axes.

Features & Options

  • 32-bit RISC architecture and digital servo drives
  • Compliant with R15.06-1999 ANSI/RIA standard
  • JRC programming language with icon-driven interface
  • May be used in a “No Teach Pendant Mode” for production
