At Automation Fair in Philadelphia, PA (Nov 7-8), we will demonstrate the MLX100 Robot Gateway™, now available with conveyor tracking. The MLX100 enables the programming of Motoman® robots from the ControlLogix® platform. With the MLX platform, our customers can also utilize Cognex
In-Sight® vision to locate parts and guide the robot. Visit us in booth #820. Register now!
At Fabtech in Las Vegas, NV (Nov 12-14), we will showcase our new MC2000 robot with precision accuracy along with technologies for different manufacturing applications.
New! Hexapod Robot
The new 6-axis Hexapod precision motion platform with a spindle motor is used for milling complex shapes in hard metals. Engine components or weldment parts are no problem for this high payload, highly accurate device. Watch a video of this as introduced at IMTS 2012.
New! MHJF Robot
The compact MHJF robot allows maximum performance while using minimal floor space and is compatible with the Motoman FS100 controller. It is designed for lighter payload applications such as small parts assembly, material handling and education systems. The MHJF also offers superior performance in packaging, machine tending, dispensing and polishing applications.
New! MLX100 Robot Gateway with Dual-Robot Control
The MLX100 Robot Gateway is a best-in-class modular architecture that enables the control and programming of Motoman robots directly from the ControlLogix platform using RSLogix™ software. Now, multiple robots can be controlled from a single ControlLogix PAC. The power of the MLX100 is not limited to just palletizing robots, but is applicable to packaging robots and even multiple robots on the same controller.
New! Robofusion Kiosk
Yaskawa Motoman has partnered with Robofusion to create the first-ever dual-arm robotic yogurt kiosk. This unique interactive kiosk with a one-of-a-kind delivery system redefines the way yogurt is delivered utilizing a Motoman dual-arm robot.
Pick, Twist, Drop, Repeat
Transferring cereal cartons out of a bin and onto a “carton erector” conveyor, over and over, was not one of the favorite jobs at a packaging plant. Employees were required to remove a ‘slug’ of 40-50 cartons at a time from the four stacks in a bin. Plant workers had to deal with repetitive motion, heavy loads, awkward reach and the demanding speeds of the line (up to 155 cartons per minute). Eventually several health and safety issues were raised – this line presented serious ergonomic issues for employees performing this operation and the injury reports began to stack up. Eventually, the possibility of robotic automation for this application was considered and the company looked to a robotic integrator, JMP Engineering, for guidance.
At Pack Expo in Chicago, IL (Oct 28-31), we highlighted a wide range of packaging, case packing and palletizing automation solutions. In addition
