Customer Care Agreements - Motoman is pleased to offer

Helpful Hints
Problem: I have a new DX100 controller, and I would like to expand my variables. Can this be done without a Motoman technician
on-site?
Solution: Yes. Before performing any system change in maintenance mode, Motoman recommends doing a complete system back-up.
To expand your variables, start your controller in
maintenance mode (hold down the main menu key while powering up). Touch the system key and set the security level to management. Touch the system key again
and then touch the set-up key. Cursor down to option function and select it. Now cursor down to variable allocation. Cursor to the right and select detail.
After you select detail, you will see a screen with all
your variables listed. Next to each variable type, you will see ++/--. If you select on the ++ it will increment the number of that type of variable in the
allowable range. The - - will decrement the value. After the values have been changed, press the enter key. The system will ask you to modify, select yes.
Initialize related files? Job, select yes. Initialize related files? Var.dat, select yes. Initialize related files? Varname.dat, select yes. Cycle power and
bring the controller up in standard mode. Load your job files. The system variables are now expanded.
