Who Should Attend
The ERC OVERVIEW Course is a basic overview designed for personnel who have never seen or used a Yaskawa Motoman ERC controller robotic system. Not meant for robotic programmers, this course will teach safety in and around the robot cell, use of the programming pendant and basic troubleshooting. No prior knowledge of robot programming or of the ERC Controller is required.
Course Overview
This 1 day condensed class gives an overview of how to work with an ERC teach pendant and controller.
Course Materials
Students receive a copy of the ERC Operator's Manual which details programming and editing instructions. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions and to bring up specific programming issues.
Topics
Yaskawa Instructors cover topics which enable the students to understand the robot, manipulate the robot, and perform basic troubleshooting. An overview of the primary topics covered in the course is provided below: - safety in and around the robot cell - powering up and down - coordinate systems - jogging the robot - recovery from alarms and errors
