DX100 Comarc III
Touch-sensing and seam tracking
February 19, September 3
This course runs 2 days (3 days if combined with Accufast Overview)
Who Should Attend
The DX100 COMARC III Programming module is an advanced course for the DX100 controller. ComArc seam tracking and touch sensing are the focus of this module. Students are required to possess basic programming knowledge of the DX100 controller and DX100 system welding prior to attending this training module. As a minimum, the student should have a basic understanding of the GMAW process. The DX100 BASIC PROGRAMMING with Arc Welding course is a prerequisite. DX100 Advanced Arc Welding is recommended.
Classroom lectures on theory of operations and programming commands are reinforced with demonstrations. Commands and topics are related to real-world examples and applications. Classes are kept small in size, typically 4 or fewer students, in order to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere
Students receive the DX100 COMARC III function manual, which details functions of the related Comarc software. Additional handouts are provided that relate to specific topics covered in class.
Primary topics include 1) COMARC III SEAM TRACKING - interconnections - software instruction / use of files - setup and programming - measurement modes 2) COMARC III SEAM FINDING - weld start point detecting function - temporary shift with position variables - setup and programming
