Who Should Attend
The NX100 Concurrent I/O Programming module is a course in programming the USER PART of the NX100 Concurrent I/O ladder using the ladder editor. Users learn to customize the operation of NX100 Input/Output functions. Individuals responsible for advanced programming and/or maintenance should attend. The NX100 Basic Programming Module is a prerequisite, and NX100 Advanced Programming and/or NX100 Maintenance is highly recommended.
Course Overview
Classroom lectures on programming procedures are reinforced with demonstrations and actual hands-on programming by the students. Classes are kept small in size, typically 12 or fewer students, in order to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere. This allows the students to work with each other and Yaskawa instructors in order to grasp the concepts of concurrent I/O.
Course Materials
Students receive the NX100 Ladder Programming Training manual. Additional handouts and reference materials relate to specific topics covered in this class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions, and to bring up specific application issues.
Topics
Students learn to customize operations of the NX100 controller. Primary topics include: - purpose and functionality of Concurrent I/O - Input/Output devices - robot program I/O instructions - overview of NX100 I/O hardware - ladder programming instructions - registering I/O names - registering USER alarms and messages - ladder logical relay addressing - defining interface zones - I/O controlling parameters
